The Opportunity

Veolia is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our three major metropolitan sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in process management and will be responsible for managing the safe collection and transportation of waste materials. This role involves ensuring all contract obligations are met in full compliance with Veolia's systems, policies, and procedures, while maintaining the highest standards of safety and operational excellence across all associated waste management activities.

This role is based in Perth - Full time on site + on call as needed.

What you'll be responsible for

• Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all site workers and visitors 

• Responsible for all site operations, including reporting on financial performance and reviewing operating costs

• Managing any incidents on site and report in a timely manner  

• Actively participate in project management of site improvements

• Commercial reviews and forecasting  

What you'll need to be successful

Solid and relevant experience in managing teams ideally in process management.

The following types of experience or exposure would also be very highly regarded:

• Tertiary qualifications in Business, supply chain / logistics or demonstrable experience process management

• A proven track record in operations

• A background in environmental compliance and / or health and safety would be highly regarded.

• An exceptional ability to build positive relationships at all levels  

• Strong communications skills

• Proficient in learning and adopting new technological systems quickly

• Adaptable and flexible in responding to changing work environments and circumstances
