Title:  Laboratory Coordinator

The Opportunity

Veolia ANZ has a fantastic opportunity for a Laboratory Coordinator to join our team based at the Northern Water Treatment Plant, Wandoan 4419. As the Laboratory Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and reliable analysis of water samples, compliance with regulatory requirements, and the delivery of safe and high quality water to customers.

What you'll be responsible for

• Managing the daily operations of the site laboratory, including scheduling, sampling, labelling, waste minimisation, treatment and disposal methods, stock takes, procurement and database management. 
• Implementing and maintaining quality control measures to ensure accurate and reliable testing results. 
• Conducting and overseeing testing and analysis of water samples to assess water quality.
• Ensuring all testing is compliant with regulatory requirements.
• Providing training and guidance to Operational staff on laboratory techniques, safety procedures, and quality control measures. 
   

What you'll need to be successful

• Tertiary qualifications in a chemical or laboratory-based discipline.
• Demonstrated experience with sampling and preservation methods, analytical testing and operation of field and laboratory equipment.
• Ideally, experience in water and wastewater
