The Opportunity
We are looking for a Wastewater Treatment Operator who will be primarily responsible for participating as a member of the wastewater operational team, ensuring all treatment facilities and assets are operated safely and effectively; enabling the production of the highest possible quality of wastewater effluent.

What you'll be responsible for
Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Perform systematic inspections and preventive maintenance of wastewater treatment facilities and equipment according to established schedules, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, manufacturer specifications, and industry best practices. Monitor and document all maintenance activities, conduct thorough equipment assessments, and implement corrective actions promptly to optimize system performance and extend asset life cycles.

Detect and diagnose equipment performance issues through comprehensive monitoring, implement effective troubleshooting protocols, and execute targeted solutions to restore assets to peak operational efficiency with minimal downtime. Maintain detailed documentation of performance trends, intervention strategies, and outcomes to prevent future failures.

Demonstrate proficient operation and technical expertise across a diverse range of wastewater treatment equipment and network assets, including pumping systems, dissolved air flotation (DAF), lamella filtration units, UV disinfection systems, aerators, sensors, and analytical instruments.

Ensure maximum operational efficiency through skilled monitoring, adjustment, and control of all treatment processes.

Participating in the operator on-call roster,

Contribute to the management of Health and Safety, Quality Assurance and Environmental Management Systems, while applying these procedures in all aspects of work,

Comply with the requirements of the company's business management system and the Quality Policy for drinking water, wastewater treatment and disposal to contribute to the company's commitment to provide safe, high quality drinking water and wastewater services that consistently meets or exceeds the requirements of the Contracts,
What you'll need to be successful
Qualifications:
● Combination of education, training and industry experience.
● Computer literacy.
Experience:
● Provide hands-on industry experience.
● Exposure to the water and/or process industry and basic understanding of various water infrastructure technologies and processes are preferable.
● Proven ability to establish and maintain working relationships with colleagues and contractors.
● Proven problem solving skills and proposed methodologies
