You'll ensure effective job allocation and completion while maintaining a safety-first approach, keeping customer expectations and performance targets at the forefront of everything you do.

What you'll be responsible for
- Supervise daily operations and allocate work as instructed, overseeing MBT & FOGO production while reporting on KPIs and implementing stock level requirements

Train and develop the team on mobile and fixed plant equipment operations, including all HME (heavy mobile equipment) and deliver daily toolbox meetings to support continuous learning

Coordinate contractor supervision including permits, risk assessments and work documentation. Ensuring all activities meet site requirements and standards

Champion a strong safety culture by promoting the "Always Safe Charter," ensuring compliance with Veolia safety policies, reporting hazards and incidents promptly and enforcing appropriate PPE

Manage administrative requirements accurately and in line with Veolia policy, identify opportunities for plant improvement and implement strategies as advised by the leadership team.
What you'll need to be successful

Mechanical or Electrical trade or degree qualification
-
Leadership experience within a transport, manufacturing or operations environment
-
Demonstrated experience in training staff in fixed and mobile plant
-
Effective level communication skills (Written & Verbal)
-
Competency with Google Suite systems
-
Strong safety focus with a proactive approach to improving safety
-
Statement of Attainment in machine operation (HME)
-
High Risk Work licenses: Forklift, Working at Heights, Dangerous Goods
-
Certificate IV in WHS and/or Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable)

Full driver’s License or HR/HC License
