The Opportunity

Join Veolia ANZ in our Southbank office as our Projects and Engineering Manager, where you'll lead our team to deliver exceptional project outcomes across Victoria and Tasmania. As a key member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to develop and lead a high performing team of project and engineering delivery resources, while building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive business success.

  • Oversee a portfolio of projects up to $30M per project typically, ensuring seamless technical, commercial, and SHEQ integration

What you'll be responsible for

  • Manage and deliver the VIC/TAS Resource Recovery and Environmental Services project portfolio on time, on budget, on quality

  • Lead and coordinate project delivery teams to achieve project objectives

  • Ensure seamless project execution through effective change management and stakeholder alignment

  • Drive project success through technical, commercial, and operational expertise

  • Provide regular progress updates and identify areas for improvement

  • Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive business growth

  • Develop and motivate a high performing team to deliver exceptional results

What you'll need to be successful

  • Bachelor of Engineering or other relevant tertiary qualifications, civil engineering preferred

  • Experience in technical services consulting and design Demonstrated ability to manage civil infrastructure projects up to approx. $20 million

  •  
  • Strong commercial acumen with proven ability to manage project budgets, negotiate contracts, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure financial performance aligns with business objectives

  • Strong contract management skills, including dispute negotiation experience

  • Proven ability to work autonomously and take full ownership of site works and construction projects from initiation through completion. Strong experience in contractor management a must

  • Strong self-management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks, make independent decisions, and drive projects forward without constant supervision

  • Experience in an operation environment preferred
