The Opportunity

 

Veolia ANZ is seeking an experienced and motivated Vehicle Logistics Officer (VLO) to join our friendly and collaborative team based in Keysborough (3173).


In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring our clients receive exceptional service by efficiently coordinating deliveries and collections across the relevant division. You will be responsible for overseeing the timely and compliant completion of jobs, while upholding the highest standards in safety, Chain of Responsibility (CoR), environmental compliance, and performance targets.

 

As a Vehicle Logistics Officer, you will play an important role in supporting drivers to carry out their duties in a safe, competent, and professional manner — with no compromise to health, safety, quality, or the environment.

What you'll be responsible for

 

  • Coordinate bin collections to maximise route efficiency, minimising downtime and ensuring timely service delivery
  • Manage driver hours, billing, and reporting duties across the site, ensuring accuracy and compliance at all times
  • Proactively respond to customer issues with a solutions-focused mindset, resolving operational concerns quickly and effectively
  • Act as a key point of contact for operational queries raised by the Customer Services Team, Sales Team, and/or customers, providing timely and professional responses
  • Attend daily end-of-shift meetings with drivers to capture and address any incidents, issues, or operational feedback
  • Facilitate monthly safety toolbox talks, promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring all team members are informed and engaged

 

What you'll need to be successful

 

  • Strong computer skills with the ability to navigate relevant systems and software confidently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders
  • Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands in a fast-paced environment
  • Well-developed planning and organisational skills to coordinate daily operations efficiently
  • A genuine commitment to health and safety, with the ability to promote and uphold a strong safety culture
