The Opportunity

Veolia is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to be accountable for the day to day running of our Kalgoorlie depots.   

Looking after our solid, liquid and packaged waste.  

With a background and experience in process management, you will manage the safe collection and transport of associated waste activities looking after contracts in accordance with Veolia’s systems, policies and procedures. 

Working Monday to Friday with very occasional Saturdays 

This role is based in Kalgoorlie and is site based.

What you'll be responsible for

• Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all site workers and visitors 

• Responsible for all site operations, including reporting on financial performance and reviewing operating costs

• Managing any incidents on site and report in a timely manner  

• Actively participate in project management of site improvements

• Commercial reviews and forecasting 

What you'll need to be successful

Solid and relevant experience in managing teams ideally in process management.

The following types of experience or exposure would also be very highly regarded:

• Tertiary qualifications in Business, supply chain / logistics or demonstrable experience process management

• A proven track record in operations

• A background in environmental compliance and / or health and safety would be highly regarded.

• An exceptional ability to build positive relationships at all levels  

• Strong communications skills
