The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team on a 7-month fixed-term contract, covering a period of maternity leave. This role focuses on supporting the financial  operations of our New Zealand business, with primary responsibilities in financial accounting processes and compliance. The position contributes to the efficiency and accuracy of the finance function, assisting in areas such as billing and revenue, month-end reporting and capital expenditure.

What you'll be responsible for

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage month-end close processes including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and revenue accruals

  • Generate customer invoices in SAP HANA and ensure accurate billing data and revenue recognition

  • Asset and Inventory Management

  • Compliance and Audit Support

  • Finance process documentation and drive continuous improvement initiatives

  • Business Partnering

 

What you'll need to be successful

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the financial accounting process, reporting, and have awareness of internal controls.

  • Working towards CPA/CA affiliation

  • Intermediate to Advanced Spreadsheet skills with ability to learn new systems and processes quickly

  • VANZAL & Google Suite experience is desirable but not essential

  • Exposure to SAP is desirable, but not essential

 

You will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and a positive attitude. The ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, work autonomously, and provide high-quality work in a fast-paced environment, alongside proven problem-solving skills and initiative, will make you the ideal candidate.
