The Opportunity

Thanks to continual growth in our Liquid and Hazardous Waste division, Veolia needs a new Business Development Manager to join our sales team in Arndell Park (2148). In this newly created position, you will seek out new potential customers, get to know their businesses and then present them with custom solutions relating to their liquid or hazardous waste needs. This will be a perfect role for you if you are a junior sales professional looking for the next step up and seeking a large, stable company and a growth area with potential to build a portfolio of established clients.

What you'll be responsible for

  • Win new business and then maintain strong ongoing customer relationships

  • Working with customers and internal stakeholders for management of large and small projects

  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders within client business and ensure service levels are met or exceeded

  • Ability to drive your own career by identifying trends and new market segments

What you'll need to be successful

  • Demonstrated sales background with evidence of capacity to step up into a corporate BDM role

  • Eagerness to problem solve, build relationships and cold call

  • Hands on, proactive and energetic approach to business development

  • Ability to manage various systems and processes

  • Salesforce experience highly desirable but not essential
