What you'll be responsible for

Conducting sampling, laboratory testing and analysis across the Woodlawn Leachate Treatment and Reverse Osmosis Plants.
Preparing reagents, standards and sample containers, while ensuring correct storage and preservation.
Maintaining accurate records, databases and reports, and promptly communicating water-quality exceedances.
Supporting quality systems, audits, procedures and process optimisation.
Coordinating external laboratory testing, stock control and procurement.
Promoting safe, compliant and environmentally responsible laboratory practices.
Collaborating with operations teams, mentoring staff and participating in the on-call roster.

What you'll need to be successful

Tertiary qualifications in chemistry, laboratory science or a related discipline.
Experience in sampling, sample preservation, analytical testing and laboratory equipment operation.
Knowledge of quality assurance systems and water or wastewater treatment operations is desirable.
Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills, with excellent attention to detail.
Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, Access, Google Suite and laboratory or asset management systems.
A commitment to safety, sustainability and continuous improvement.
A current driver’s licence.
