The Opportunity

Join our team as an Operations Supervisor at our Ti Tree facility in Willowbank QLD, where you'll lead operational excellence and drive performance across all site activities.

This dynamic role offers the opportunity to oversee the operations of the facility and ensure safety and efficiency standards are maintained and exceeded.

What you'll be responsible for

  • Oversee waste acceptance and regulated waste treatment operations, ensuring compliance with Ti Tree operational objectives and goals

  • Manage waste levy mechanisms including data tracking, monitoring, reporting and liaising with regulators to maintain operational compliance

  • Lead team performance through regular meetings, KPI monitoring, and proactive issue resolution while driving sales achievement and operational effectiveness

  • Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders including government authorities, statutory bodies, community and business groups

  • Develop cost-saving strategies, business improvement plans, and provide waste/soil characterisation and assessment services

  • Ensure contract administration, customer service excellence, and stay current with legislative changes while undertaking special projects and tenders

What you'll need to be successful

  • Degree in Environmental Engineering/Science or relevant field

  • Supervisory experience or Project Management experience 

  • Working knowledge/experience of waste industry legislation (WRR Act, EP&A Act etc) and associated regulatory frameworks

  • Strong people skills, ability to communicate and able to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Computer proficiency in Google/Microsoft Office Suite with experience in database tracking and management reporting;

  • Driver’s License

  • A strong focus on health and safety
