Title:  Health & Safety Advisor

The Opportunity

Based in Willowbank, 4306, you will support personnel at our BioEnergy - Waste to Clean Energy facility to achieve safety excellence and maximise company safety and environmental performance through audit, evaluation, engagement, training, investigation and continuous improvement.  And in the long run, you’ll contribute to a sustainable future for Australia. 

 

Reporting to the Health & Safety Manager, you will provide health, safety and environmental compliance advice to the operational management on site.

What you'll be responsible for

  • Conduct inspections and audits in accordance with the internal audit schedule

  • Assist with third party audits

  • Monitoring and supporting contractors on-site

  • Monitor the compliance of operations against company objects and targets, along with client and legislative requirements

  • Engage with the Operational team in developing, review and maintaining task based risk assessments 

  • Facilitate periodic reviews of the site risk register

  • Deliver defined SHEQ related training and other SHEQ communications; 

  • Manage  our risk management software for the site

What you'll need to be successful

  • Cert 4 in Health & Safety (desirable)

  • Experience in applying safety and environmental systems

  • Working knowledge and understanding of all relevant Safety and Environmental legislation (desirable)

  • Valid Driver’s Licence

  • Good stakeholder management skills
