The Opportunity

Veolia has a fantastic opportunity for a specialist Operations Coordinator with demonstrated high pressure water jetting experience to join our team at the GFG Liberty Facility in Whyalla. As the Operations Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing operational and technical delivery of services.

What you'll be responsible for

  • Act as the primary client focal point for Industrial Services, coordinating and supervising works, including peak shutdown programs
  • Coordinate  industrial cleaning including a high degree of High Pressure Water Jetting works onsite.
  • Plan and prioritise work activities, ensuring the allocation of resources (labour, equipment, third-party) for safe and efficient project completion
  • Participate in the on-call rotation to support the 24-hour operation and facilitate the resourcing of jobs
  • Ensure the safety of employees by identifying hazards, providing necessary protective equipment, and conducting daily in-field reviews
  • Manage asset maintenance and reports, including the Defective Vehicle Register (DVR) and maintenance requests
  • Support the delivery of operational and safety training for operators and provide in-field coaching to develop the workforce

 

What you'll need to be successful

  • HR Licence
  • Experience in a heavy industry environment (mining, industrial services, fabrication, engineering).
  • Extensive High Pressure Water Jetting experience. Certification highly regarded
  • Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal) to assist in coaching the operator groups daily.
  • Strong safety focus with a proactive approach to improving safety and risk management 
  • Motivation to learn and grow within a team environment
