The Opportunity
This role is a 12 month fixed term contract role where you will be responsible for supporting injured employees to return to work, and provide health and hygiene compliance support and advice to operational management. You will facilitate injury prevention programs, physical and mental health initiatives and maximise company health management performance through engagement, training, monitoring, investigation and continuous improvement.
Although you will support our Western Australia business, you will work as part of a broader national Injury Prevention & Health team.

What you'll be responsible for
- Assisting injured employees to return to work following injuries, and working with internal operational teams and the insurer to achieve a successful outcome.
- Working with our external clients and labour hire organisations to ensure injuries are effectively managed once reported and employees return to work on suitable duties plans.
- Managing injury classifications, monthly reporting, and providing injury updates back to the business on a regular basis.
- Management of drug and alcohol testing programs for all WA sites.
- Designing, coordinating and implementing specific strategies in injury prevention and wellbeing based on health risk factor reduction
- Quality review of specific risk-based pre-employment and periodic medical assessments
What you'll need to be successful
- Extensive industry experience in injury management and return to work outcomes
- Formal Return to Work Coordinator (RTW) qualification (desired)
- Graduate qualifications in a Health related field such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy, exercise science, health management, nursing (desired)
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport quickly with key stakeholders.
- A willingness to juggle competing priorities in a multitasking environment.
