The Opportunity

Veolia ANZ is currently seeking an enthusiastic Weighbridge Attendant to join our Resource and Recovery team in Welshpool 6106

You will be responsible for the operation of the weighbridge for the accurate and timely administration of waste acceptance. Offering excellent customer service to maintain strong relationships with customers and drivers to ensure all enquiries are responded to in a timely manner.

What you'll be responsible for

  • Operate the weighbridges accepting waste from account customers, ensuring each docket correct
  • Assist the site supervisor with scheduling trucks to move product from the floor
  • Resolve customers queries
  • Setup new customer accounts in the system
  • Ensure transactions are completed correctly prior to entry to site
  • Offer excellent customer service both in person and over the phone
  • Undertake administration tasks including answering telephone calls and data entry
  • Daily, Weekly and Monthly reporting
  • Schedule compost deliveries as required
  • Schedule and report on loading recycling products containers
  • Ability to work under limited supervision in a fast-paced, high-pressure work environment with rapidly changing priorities

What you'll need to be successful

  • Cert III in Business Administration (preferred but not essential)
  • Demonstrable experience in learning new systems and administrative processed
  • Waste industry experience (desirable)
  • Minimum 5+ years Weighbridge operator experience or similar
  • Sound numeracy, verbal and written communication skills and the ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Mandalay and container shipping experience (desirable)
  • Google suite experience (desirable)
