Title:  Operations Supervisor

The Opportunity


Veolia ANZ is looking for an Operations Supervisor to join the team at Welshpool WA 6163 depot.  This role is responsible for the day to day running of the site, drivers, and incident management of approximately 20 staff.  

This is a Monday to Friday role with a 1 week in 5 on call roster.

What you'll be responsible for

 

  • Daily allocation of drivers, trucks and management of yard functions
  • Preparation of run-sheets, debriefing drivers and fatigue management
  • Conduct Inductions, training and toolbox talks
  • Coaching and developing team members by setting clear expectations, monitoring performance and mentoring others.
  • Developing a safety first and continuous improvement culture.
  • Driving improvements and efficiencies to ensure optimisation of works.
  • Raise purchase orders for all supplied and maintenance repairs as required
  • Timely and accurate reporting of incidents and investigation outcomes
  • Champion cultural transformation across the organization, fostering an environment that prioritizes safety, exceptional customer service, and positive stakeholder relations.

What you'll need to be successful

 

  • HR licence desirable 
  • An understanding of the waste industry or transport and logistics industry
  • Demonstrable experience of team management
