Veolia is seeking a motivated Junior Project Manager to deliver engineering and project works for our water and wastewater operations, primarily in Wellington. What you'll be responsible for
• Support senior project managers with planning, organizing, and executing larger projects
• Deliver small, well-defined projects independently (up to $250K) with senior support
• Manage project delivery tasks from initiation through to closure
• Prepare engineering service proposals, tender submissions and project documentation
• Oversee field delivery, monitoring progress, quality, and adherence to timelines
• Manage procurement activities and client, contractor and supplier communications
• Monitor budgets and track project delivery through Earned Value Analysis and Gantt chart updates
• Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle
• Lead multidisciplinary teams on individual projects
• Contribute to Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Management Systems
What you'll need to be successful
Qualifications/Experience:
• Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical or Process)
• Familiarity with at least one project delivery model (PMI, Prince2 or Agile)
• Two to three years Project Management experience with at least two years in water or wastewater projects
• Proven design, construction and project management experience
• Ability to work across main engineering disciplines (mechanical, civil, process, electrical)
• Experience managing projects up to $250K within time and budget constraints
• Knowledge of QA systems (ISO9001, ISO14001) and contract documentation (NZS3910:2013 & NZS3916:2013)
• Valid driver's licence and ability to travel to project sites
