Title:  Programme Manager

The Opportunity

Veolia is seeking an experienced Programme Manager to join our team in Wellington. Within this role you will be responsible for coordinating multiple water infrastructure projects, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring seamless integration between project teams and operations. 

The key focus lies in managing project dependencies, operational handoffs, and commissioning activities across water treatment facilities.

What you'll be responsible for

• Develop and maintain coordination plans that connect multiple water treatment projects
• Lead regular meetings between project teams and plant operations staff to ensure smooth collaboration
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement and assess how projects will impact daily operations
• Review contractor plans to ensure they work seamlessly with existing plant operations
• Oversee site induction processes and ensure all teams understand operational requirements
• Integrate safety requirements across all projects during transition periods
• Develop strategies for bringing new systems online and ensuring operational teams are ready
• Coordinate smooth handovers from construction completion to daily plant operations
• Monitor connection points between projects and create systems for managing information requests
• Ensure compliance with safety standards throughout commissioning and handover processes

What you'll need to be successful

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• Significant experience in large scale infrastructure/utility projects
• Strong background in water/wastewater industry preferred
• Advanced project management and coordination abilities
