The Opportunity

Are you an experienced Maintenance Planner looking for your next challenge? Veolia is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Maintenance Planner to join our Wellington Region team. In this key role, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of our Operations & Maintenance Programme, ensuring our assets are maintained to the highest standards.

You will be the driving force behind maintaining our Veolia Asset Management System (VAMS), ensuring preventative, corrective and reactive maintenance is correctly prioritised and scheduled to keep our operations running smoothly

What you'll be responsible for

  • Developing and maintaining comprehensive PM schedules for planned and corrective maintenance functions
  • Managing work requests in real time, making evaluated decisions on the best use of available resources
  • Facilitating weekly scheduling sessions with operations, maintenance and process teams
  • Ensuring accurate data capture for effective reporting of maintenance activities
  • Supporting the delivery of statutory, regulatory and health and safety requirements
  • Proactively identifying maintenance windows and operational opportunities
  • Supporting on-site activities through the correct use of Permit to Work systems

What you'll need to be successful

Essential:

  • Previous experience planning work through a CMMS
  • Strong understanding of Maintenance and Operational activities
  • Experience managing and supervising contractors safely
  • Full, clean driving licence

Desirable:

  • Experience in Wastewater processes and assets or similar industry
  • Proficiency in Google packages and computerised maintenance management systems
  • Background in Mechanical or Electrical engineering
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Good commercial awareness

  • Risk assessment and method statement development
