The Opportunity

Veolia is seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Coordinator to join our team in Wellington. This key leadership role involves managing mechanical maintenance activities across multiple wastewater treatment facilities.

What you'll be responsible for

  • Lead and manage a mechanical maintenance team of 5+ staff
  • Develop and execute 12-month preventative maintenance schedules
  • Coordinate corrective maintenance activities
  • Contribute to asset management planning and project delivery
  • Participate in on-call duty manager roster

What you'll need to be successful

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • A relevant level 4 diploma or at least three years relevant work experience
  • Demonstrated experience in water/wastewater asset management
  • Valid driver's license

  • Strong organizational and leadership abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commercial acumen and customer focus
  • Proficiency with asset management systems
  • Understanding of ISO9001 and ISO14001 standards
