We have a brand new opportunity for a  Assets Change Management Specialist to join our team. Based in Wellington and reporting to the Asset Planner/Manager this role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive change management strategy for asset-related changes within the organisation.

 

This position plays a crucial role in supporting continuous improvement, minimising operational disruptions, and maintaining the integrity of the asset management system in accordance with ISO 55001 standards.

By fulfilling these responsibilities, the Assets Change Management Specialist ensures that changes to assets, systems, and processes are managed in a controlled, consistent, and risk-aware manner. This role is critical in maintaining the integrity of the asset management system, minimising disruptions, and supporting continuous improvement in asset management practices across wastewater treatment plants in the Wellington Region

What you'll need to be successful

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Science, or related field
  • Degree in Asset Management or Data Analytics beneficial

 

Certifications: 

  • Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) or similar certification 
  • Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) certifications relevant to water infrastructure (e.g.ultrasonic, visual inspection) 
  • Certified Infrastructure Inspector certification beneficial 

 

Experience: 

  • 2+ years of experience in condition assessment, preferably in water/wastewater infrastructure 
  • Experience with various condition assessment techniques and technologies 
  • Familiarity with water treatment plant operations and equipment 

 

Skills: 

  • In-depth knowledge of condition assessment methodologies and best practices 
  • Proficiency in using condition assessment tools and technologies 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to interpret technical data and prepare comprehensive reports 
  • Understanding of risk assessment and criticality analysis

 

Analytical in your thinking, you have the ability to communicate in an articulate manner as you liaise with our stakeholders. Your strength in problem-solving, adaptability while managing stakeholder expectations and addressing concerns effectively, will serve you well in this role.

Other personal attributes required include: attention to detail, time management, collaboration, presentation skills, conflict resolution, strategic thinking, and stress management are all key to success in this role.
