We have an opportunity for an Asset and Procurement Analyst to join our team based in Wellington. In this newly created multifaceted role, you will be responsible for managing the condition assessment program, procurement processes, and data analysis for wastewater treatment plant assets in the Wellington Region.

The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities to effectively manage assets, optimise procurement, and provide critical insights for data-driven decision-making in asset management.

You will provide critical insights into the health and performance of assets, enabling data-driven decision-making and supporting the overall effectiveness of the asset management system. This role will contribute to maintaining the reliability, efficiency, and longevity of wastewater treatment plant assets across the Wellington Region, while ensuring compliance with ISO 55001 standards.

What you'll need to be successful

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Science, or related field
Degree in Asset Management or Data Analytics beneficial

Certifications:

Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) or similar certification
Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) certifications relevant to water infrastructure (e.g., ultrasonic, visual inspection)
Certified Infrastructure Inspector certification beneficial

Experience:

2+ years of experience in condition assessment, preferably in water/wastewater infrastructure
Experience with various condition assessment techniques and technologies
Familiarity with water treatment plant operations and equipment

Skills:

In-depth knowledge of condition assessment methodologies and best practices
Proficiency in using condition assessment tools and technologies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to interpret technical data and prepare comprehensive reports
Understanding of risk assessment and criticality analysis

You are an analytical thinker with the ability to analyse data, identify trends and draw meaningful conclusions. Your communication skills see you effectively convey complex technical information to various stakeholders. Collaboration and organisation skills come to you naturally as you demonstrate strong experience in managing multiple tasks, prioritising workload, meeting deadlines and working closely with diverse teams.

Along with your aptitude for finding solutions to asset-related issues and procurement challenges, you bring with you proven negotiation, critical thinking, attention to detail and adaptability skills. In addition you demonstrate daily, your interpersonal skills, time management and integrity. All of these attributes are key to success in this role.
