The Opportunity


We have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Welder to join our Waste team in Cohuna, VIC. 

This role is a training role, whereby each apprentice is mentored and acts in a supporting role to the Workshop Team. Each apprentice is given appropriate exposure to, and experience in, a range of Welding and Fabrication techniques including Mig, Tig and Arc techniques. You will also be trained to use a Guillotine, a range of power tools and metal cutting with Oxy Acetylene and Plasma cutting in order to gain a Cert III qualification. 

Work will be servicing, maintaining and repairing bins, equipment and fleet for Veolia’s Waste Management team as well as maintenance on the recycle plant and projects for various departments. Experience on all assets involved in the Welding and Fabrication job role.
