About the Role

 

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Plant Manager to oversee the efficient and safe operation of our Water Treatment Plant in Wandoan 4419, servicing the QGC contract.  This critical role demands a strong leader with a proven track record in operations management, maintenance, and safety within a complex processing environment, ideally within the oil and gas sector.

What you'll be responsible for

 

 

  • Oversee the day to day operations of the Water Treatment Plant and associated systems, ensuring compliance with the Operations and Maintenance Agreement.
  • Manage a team of operators, technical staff, and contractors, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, health, environmental, and quality regulations and Veolia's Always Safe Charter.
  • Develop and manage operational budgets, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and identify opportunities for cost optimisation and process improvement.
  • Coordinate with key stakeholders, including QGC representatives, to ensure seamless operations and maintain strong relationships.
  • Lead and direct emergency response activities as required.
  • Oversee maintenance activities, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal equipment performance.
  • Prepare regular reports on plant performance, safety, and environmental compliance.
  • Manage asset integrity and contribute to the continuous improvement of plant operations.
     

What you'll need to be successful

 

 

  • Degree in engineering or trade qualification 
  • Experience in operations management and maintenance 
  • Experience working with Queensland Petroleum and Gas Act is preferable
