The Opportunity

Veolia ANZ has a fantastic opportunity for an Operator/ Maintainer to join our team based in Wandoan 4419. As the Operator / Maintainer you will be responsible for operating equipment to ensure the delivery of world class water services across the QGC water treatment plant.

What you'll be responsible for

• Operating and monitoring plant equipment, processes, and systems to meet operational targets
• Perform preventative, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on plant assets
• Troubleshoot and rectify equipment/process faults and alarms
• Conduct laboratory testing, analysis, and sample collection
• Maintain accurate records and reports on plant performance
• Adhere to all health, safety, environmental, and quality policies/procedures
• Assist with plant optimisation, commissioning, and reporting activities
• Provide training and supervision to other operators as needed

What you'll need to be successful

• Electrical trade qualification
• Instrumentation and HV switching skills preferred
• Experience in plant or water treatment operations highly regarded
