The Opportunity
Veolia has a fantastic opportunity for an Operations Supervisor to lead our Northern Water Treatment Plant operations in Wandoan 4419. This critical role involves overseeing day to day plant operations, ensuring efficient water treatment to meet quality and quantity standards, and leading a dynamic team of up to 20 operators and technicians.

What you'll be responsible for
• Operations Management: Oversee plant operations, manage operational projects, and coordinate contractor activities while ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements
• Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality systems (ISO9001, ISO22000, HACCP), monitor water quality parameters, and ensure adherence to contractual obligations
• Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team, managing performance reviews, succession planning, and fostering a positive team culture
• Safety & Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols, environmental standards, and regulatory requirements including Queensland Petroleum & Gas Act 2004
• Process Optimisation: Analyse plant performance data, troubleshoot issues, manage chemical dosing, and implement continuous improvement initiatives
• Resource Management: Oversee maintenance scheduling, manage consumables inventory, and coordinate procurement within delegated limits
What you'll need to be successful
• Trade qualification in mechanical, electrical, or process discipline
• Water Treatment Operators certification or equivalent in Power/Gas Generation
• Extensive experience in process production environments (water treatment, power/gas, or similar)
• Proven leadership and team management experience
