The Opportunity


Veolia has a fantastic opportunity for an Operations Supervisor to join our team based in Wandoan 4419. As the Operations Supervisor you will be responsible for the day to day operations of the water treatment plant.

What you'll be responsible for

  • Ensuring the efficient and effective treatment of water to meet established quality and quantity standards. 
  • Operational leadership with water operations crew, subcontractors and clients.
  • Managing and auditing compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Alternate Site Safety Manager duties.
  • Developing and driving standard operating procedures and maintenance plans.
  • Supporting project delivery through adequate scoping and planning of works.
  • Preparation of site-specific documentation prior-to, during and after the completion of works.
  • Communicating and reporting project status, issues and risks in addition to facilitating regular reporting review meetings. 
  • Developing a safety first and continuous improvement culture.
  • Driving improvements and efficiencies to ensure optimisation of works.

What you'll need to be successful

  • Trade qualification or science / engineering background is desirable.
  • Proven track record in leadership, management and coaching.
  • Experience in water process treatment & production.
