The Opportunity

We currently have a vacancy for a Network - Operator based in Waipawa who will be responsible for operating and maintaining water, wastewater and stormwater reticulation networks in our Central Hawkes Bay area.

What you'll be responsible for

  • Work as part of a team to deliver the operations and maintenance of the Central Hawkes Bay 3 waters networks 

  • Installation of new connections, assets and assisting in the delivery of network and treatment renewals. 

  • Complete scheduled Preventative Maintenance on the 3 waters networks 

  • Act as a point of contact for customer requests for service. 

  • Accurately log all reports and jobs, completing the necessary paperwork. 

  • Undertake such general duties as required for the effective provisions of services to the community and client. 

  • Be part of an on-call roster 

What you'll need to be successful

  • Class 1 Licence essential although Class 2 Licence will be an advantage 

  • Wheels, Tracks and Roller endorsements (however this can be arranged for the right candidate) 

  • Experience in 3 waters operations, such as reticulated network maintenance, drain laying, wastewater maintenance or civil works. 

  • National Certification in Pipeline and Construction Maintenance (Preferred) or similar

  • TTM Experience TMO - STMS CAT A/B 

  • Proven ability to maintain accurate work records 

  • Ability and willingness to work out of hours when required 

  • Good communication and organisational skills 

  • Basic to Intermediate computer skills 

  • Understanding the importance of Health and Safety in the workplace
