The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists to join Veolia's Gold Coast Desalination Plant as a Permit to Work Officer in Tugun 4224. In this crucial role, you'll ensure operational safety and compliance through expert management of our permit systems.
As our Permit to Work Officer, you'll be responsible for managing the site's comprehensive permit system using Veolia's MERAM software. You'll be the key point of contact for all permit related activities, ensuring safe operations across maintenance, projects, and daily activities.

What you'll be responsible for

Manage and coordinate the site's Permit to Work system

Review and process permit applications for all site operations

Develop and oversee isolation procedures (LOTO)

Conduct site inspections and safety interactions

Ensure compliance with WHS regulations and site procedures

Coordinate with multiple departments for permit approvals

Maintain accurate documentation and reporting
What you'll need to be successful

Proven experience in permit management within an industrial setting

Strong understanding of WHS practices in high-risk environments

Experience with LOTO systems and risk assessment
