Title:  Permit to Work Officer

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity exists to join Veolia's Gold Coast Desalination Plant as a Permit to Work Officer in Tugun 4224. In this crucial role, you'll ensure operational safety and compliance through expert management of our permit systems.

As our  Permit to Work Officer, you'll be responsible for managing the site's comprehensive permit system using Veolia's MERAM software. You'll be the key point of contact for all permit related activities, ensuring safe operations across maintenance, projects, and daily activities.

What you'll be responsible for

• • Oversee comprehensive Permit to Work system operations
  • Assess and authorise permit requests across all facility operations
  • Design and implement Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) protocols
  • Execute regular facility inspections and safety engagement activities
  • Maintain adherence to workplace health and safety standards
  • Facilitate cross departmental collaboration for permit authorisation
  • Ensure precise record keeping and compliance reporting

What you'll need to be successful

• Proven experience in permit management within an industrial setting

• Strong understanding of WHS practices in high-risk environments

• Experience with LOTO systems and risk assessment
