The Opportunity

 

Join Veolia's Water team at the Gold Coast Desalination Plant and make a tangible difference to our community's essential water supply. We're seeking a Contracts and Procurement Officer to drive procurement excellence across major operations and projects.

Reporting to the Senior Advisor - Contracts and Procurement, you'll be central to our procurement success. You'll own end-to-end procurement activities—from strategic tendering and rigorous evaluation through to seamless contract administration—delivering best value outcomes while upholding the highest standards of governance, probity and compliance.

What you'll be responsible for

 

  • Manage and coordinate major procurement activities including tenders, quotations, negotiations and contract administration
  • Develop procurement documentation including contracts, RFQs, RFTs and RFPs aligned with our Procurement Plan
  • Maintain comprehensive contracts registers with strong document control standards
  • Engage effectively with internal teams, contractors, suppliers and our Legal team
  • Support supplier onboarding and manage change requests
  • Identify procurement risks and provide strategic procurement advice
  • Drive process improvements and implement positive change
  • Uphold Veolia's Always Safe Charter and commitment to OH&S and environmental excellence

What you'll need to be successful

 

  • Proven procurement and contract management experience
  • Tertiary qualifications in procurement, business, commerce or law (highly regarded)
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
