The Opportunity
Reporting to the NSW General Manager (Water), you'll be the critical link between the Alliance Leadership Group and a talented, multi-disciplinary operational team. You will lead through influence, trust and empowerment, creating a high-performing, collaborative Alliance Management Team. Your strategic leadership will drive a culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement across multiple water and wastewater treatment sites.
What you'll be responsible for
- Delivering the vision of the Alliance and ensuring the Alliance Charter is embedded in everything the team does
- Overseeing safe, compliant, and efficient operation of Hunter Water's treatment plants
- Building and maintaining trusted relationships across the Alliance and with government bodies, statutory authorities, and community groups
- Leading a high-performing team across process, commercial, assets, wastewater, and water treatment
- Driving business planning, budgeting, and financial oversight across the Alliance
- Championing a safety-first culture aligned with Veolia's Always Safe Charter
- Identifying opportunities to optimise service delivery and demonstrate genuine value
- Ensuring full compliance with all regulatory and contractual obligations
What you'll need to be successful
- Experience in a strategic leadership position within a complex, regulated operational environment
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in budget management and contract delivery
- Ability to communicate, influence and build trusted relationships with diverse stakeholders, including at executive level
- Experience in balancing partner interests in collaborative / Alliance / joint venture models.
