The Opportunity
We're looking for a Procurement Officer to join our Hunter Water Alliance team in Tomago 2300. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting the delivery of capital works across Hunter Water's water and wastewater treatment facilities.
In this role, you'll manage end to end procurement activities – from tendering and evaluation through to contract award and ongoing maintenance – ensuring best value outcomes while upholding the highest standards of governance, probity and compliance.

What you’ll be responsible for
-
Coordinating procurement activities including tendering, evaluations, negotiation, stakeholder approvals, contract award and execution

Managing the tender process to deliver best value for money outcomes

Maintaining the contracts and securities database, including retentions and bank guarantees
-
Providing procurement advice and support to technical and project teams, including assistance with scopes of work and specifications

Collaborating with the Veolia National Procurement Team to ensure alignment with global contracts and ANZ procurement strategies

Supporting transparent, efficient and compliant sourcing processes from purchase to payment
-
Preparing procurement and contract status reports and performance compliance documentation

Building and maintaining effective relationships with key internal stakeholders, Alliance partners and external suppliers

Identifying and managing risk and opportunity across procurement activities
-
Championing Veolia's safety culture and Always Safe Charter in everything you do
What You’ll Need to be Successful

Relevant Tertiary qualification or equivalent work experience

Proven track record in a similar role

Strong planning and organisational skills
