Title:  Maintenance Planner

The Opportunity

 

Based in Tomago and reporting to the Assets Maintenance Manager, you'll be responsible for end to end maintenance planning across 28 water and wastewater treatment plants covering a 6,000 square kilometre region.

You'll work closely with operational supervisors, the client, contractors and the wider asset management team — building and improving maintenance plans, managing inventory, and ensuring everything runs on time, on budget, and in line with contractual requirements.

What you'll be responsible for

 

  • Manage maintenance plans, schedules, and work orders through the CMMS (Infor EAM/VAMS)
  • Develop work packages covering labour, materials, and costs
  • Coordinate planned and unplanned maintenance with operational and maintenance supervisors
  • Facilitation of specialist service supplier maintenance schedules
  • Manage spare parts inventory across the plant network and in Databases (Infor EAM / VAMS/ SAP S4 HANA and Ariba)
  • Monitor maintenance performance against KPIs
  • Purchase order management
  • Liaise with the client, contractors, and suppliers to keep things moving
  • Drive continuous improvement across maintenance systems and processes
  • Champion safety across all planning activities

What you'll need to be successful

 

  • Experience in a maintenance planning role, ideally from a trades or industrial background
  • Hands-on CMMS database experience — Infor EAM, VAMS, Maximo, or SAP
