The Supervisor, as the first line of management, is primarily responsible for managing the day to day workload of the operators operating and maintaining water, wastewater and stormwater networks. The Supervisor will coordinate the daily activity of the team, ensuring productivity, efficiency and safety profitability.

What you'll be responsible for
- Coordinate the maintenance and repair of pipes, leaks, blockages and pump stations throughout the Tairua/Pauanui area in accordance with the Contract agreement and Veolia Water's procedures. This involves but is not limited to pricing projects, ordering materials, and planning and scheduling project delivery.
- Supervise the Networks team and contractors involved - eg. Installation and repair of meters; repairing burst water mains and installation of new manholes.
- Assist in the operation and maintenance of the water, wastewater and stormwater networks throughout the Tairua/Pauanui area as required and complete the associated administration work in an accurate and timely manner.
- Participate in the on-call roster if required.
- Contribute to the management of the Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Management Systems while applying the procedures in all aspects of work.
- Comply with the requirements of Veolia Water New Zealand Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental Policy Statements, including participation at local toolbox and health and safety meetings.
- Comply with the requirements of the company business management system and the Quality Policy for drinking water, wastewater treatment and disposal to contribute to the company commitment to provide safe, high quality drinking water and wastewater services that consistently meets or exceeds the requirements of the Contracts.
- Undertake such general duties as required for the effective provision of services to the client and customers.
What you'll need to be successful
Qualifications:
- Level 4 National Certificate Water Treatment is advantageous.
- Level 3 National Certificate Reticulation.
Experience:
- Experience in water and / or wastewater treatment and / or water, wastewater and stormwater network operation and maintenance.
- Previous experience in service delivery and / or trade is considered advantageous.
Other relevant skills or information:
- Computer literate.
- Current driver's license (preferably with Class 2).
- Ability and willingness to work out of hours when required.
- Required to take part in an after hours on-call roster.
- Understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and Health and Safety legislation.

- Good literacy and numeracy skills.
- Willing to complete further training as required.
