The Opportunity
Veolia ANZ is looking for an Operator to join our team at the Woodlawn MBT site located in Tarago NSW. As an Operator, not only will you be operating various plant and machinery, you will also process waste and recycled materials.
The successful candidate will be involved in the daily operations of the site, we are looking for a hard working Operator who works well in a team and has experience operating heavy machinery and process lines.
This is a permanent full-time role working from Monday - Friday on a weekly rotating roster from
5:00am to 2:00pm and 2:00pm to 11:00pm with overtime available.

What you'll be responsible for

Carry out day to day operation of the Woodlawn MBT MSW operations to ensure the completion of work safely and efficiently

Safely operate various plant and machinery including Excavator, Front End Loader, Trommel screens, Terminal tractor and Tele handler

Operate SCADA controlled waste processing plant

Provide a range of support services to assist in the operation of the business unit such as manual labouring to ensure the efficient processing and good housekeeping

Promote and continuously apply personal safety, environmental and quality awareness in the workplace

Check daily instructions and prioritise accordingly to complete work tasks in accordance with required deadlines

Help ensure that all machinery is maintained in required clean condition and carry out daily equipment checks
What you'll need to be successful

Drivers licence Class C (HR or HC desirable)

Proven experience operating heavy machinery; excavator, loader, screens, shredders and/or HR licence will be highly regarded

Experience with processing plant and equipment - desirable

Awareness of safety and environment requirements

Ability to work as part of a team

Ability to follow instruction as required
