The Opportunity

ANZ Veolia is looking for an experienced Welder/Boilermaker to join the friendly Woodlawn team here in Tarago, 2580. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will put your expertise to use in completing a variety of repairs and maintenance within the workshop and in the field.

What you'll be responsible for

  • Conduct repairs and maintenance tasks on our fleet of mobile plant, including inspections, component repairs and hard facing.

  • MIG / Stick / TIG / OXY welding and fabrication

  • Adhere to scheduled maintenance plans, performing preventative maintenance and repairs

  • Workshop fabrication and mobile maintenance support

  • Carry out rebuilds, repairs and maintenance to heavy vehicles, plant and equipment, pipework, guards and structural components

  • Conduct inspections, repairs, and adjustments to GET to ensure optimal performance and longevity

 

What you'll need to be successful

  • Trade qualified Boilermaker (Cert III Engineering – Fabrication) or equivalent.

  • Strong welding experience in heavy industrial environments

  • Experience working around fixed plant and heavy machinery

  • EWP/Working at Heights and forklift license (advantageous)

  • White Card 

  • High safety focus and ability to work autonomously

  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and in a team

  • Physical stamina to perform manual labour and work in various weather conditions.
