The Opportunity
Veolia ANZ is seeking a Process Engineer to join our team at our Woodlawn Organics Mechanical Biological Treatment plant in Tarago, NSW, 2580. The MBT plant is an important part of the wider Woodlawn Eco-Precinct which boasts world best practice bioreactor landfill technology, leachate treatment plant, gas powered energy plant, wind farm, solar farm, agriculture and aquaculture.
The MBT separates organics from waste and processes food and organic waste to value add by producing composted products for use in mine rehabilitation and agriculture. As the Process Engineer you will be responsible for supporting the operations team with relevant data, technical advice and process improvement. This role is an integral part of the team to ensure objectives and targets are met by all.

What you'll be responsible for
- Develop, control and monitor composting processes for Woodlawn Mechanical Biological Treatment Plant (MBT) and Food Organics Garden Organics (FOGO) Plant
- Maintain site environmental monitoring plan
- Process data analysis and report to management team for planning purposes
- Providing technical and engineering support to the operations and project teams
- Ensuring effective and optimal operation of equipment to achieve maximum efficiency
- Diagnosing malfunctions in processes and instituting remedial action
- Managing and analysing data for reporting purposes
- Undertaking ad hoc projects to optimise the plant operations
What you'll need to be successful
- Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent (Process/Chemical/Environmental Engineering)
- Experience in automated plant operation
- Experience in plant maintenance and systems management - desirable
- Experience in solid waste processing and/or waste water treatment - highly regarded
- Demonstrable experience in project management - desirable
- Effective communication skills
- Strong safety focus and understanding of WHS regulations specific to the area of work
- Effectively work in a team environment
- Drivers Licence
