The Opportunity

 

We're seeking a dedicated Safety & Compliance Coordinator to join our team at the Gold Coast Desalination Plant in Tugun 4224. This pivotal position focuses on maintaining operational excellence through expert oversight of our work authorisation and safety systems.

In this role, you'll take ownership of our comprehensive work authorisation framework, utilising Veolia's specialised software platform. You'll serve as the central liaison for all safety compliance activities, supporting seamless operations across maintenance programs, capital projects, and day to day activities.

What you'll be responsible for

 

• Administer and coordinate the facility's Work Authorisation System
• Assess and approve authorisation requests for all operational activities
• Design and implement isolation protocols (LOTO)
• Perform facility inspections and safety engagement activities
• Maintain adherence to WHS legislation and facility standards
• Liaise across departments for authorisation approvals
• Ensure precise documentation and reporting practices

What you'll need to be successful

 

• Demonstrated capability in authorisation management within industrial operations
• Comprehensive knowledge of WHS practices in high hazard environments
• Hands on experience with LOTO protocols and risk evaluation
