Title:  Systems Support Engineer - Auckland

We are looking for a Systems Support Engineer to join our Projects, Technical and Assets Group (PTAG). The position is based in Veolia’s Ellerslie NZ Corporate Head Office.


Reporting to the Assets Systems Engineer Team Leader, the Systems Support Engineer is responsible for providing systems support to the Veolia NZ business and the various systems and databases.  This role will also provide support to standalone systems projects and maintain Asset data sets and information in relation to assets including maintenance schedules & inventory, ensuring data is accurate and up to date.

Key components of the position include:

  • Assisting (in conjunction with Veolia corporate AM systems team) with the coordination of and maintenance of existing systems
  • Coordinate rollout (in conjunction with Corporate AM team) of systems interface projects to existing and new Veolia sites
  • Documentation of systems infrastructure and business processes (including ongoing streamlining of processes)
  • Systems Champion for Veolia
  • Liaison with Veolia corporate IT team
  • Provision of support (as part of NZ PTAG Systems Group) in respect of VNZ systems (including Infor EAM  CMMS, Pi ODMS and Esri ArcGIS) including: User support and training; System implementation; Documentation; System continual improvement and enhancement; supporting  innovation and growth projects as required

What you need:

  • 1-2 years of on-the job systems, database and IT work experience 
  • Knowledge of IT hardware, general computing and system interfaces
  • GIS experience, maintaining asset maps and user groups 
  • Experience of interfacing different systems, data sets and multiple information references 
  • 3 Waters/operations knowledge desirable (or strong commitment to learn)
  • Strong IT skills with the ability to manipulate complex databases
