Title:  Lead Driver Trainer and Assessor

The Opportunity


This is a new position reporting to our National Lead Trainer for an expert in driver training and assessment. As Veolia’s Lead Driver Trainer and Assessor for NSW, you will work with key stakeholders to deliver effective competency-based training and assessments for the business. You will work with site based VOC verifiers and Buddies to validate competency assessments to ensure they meet the approved model for competency assessment. Your strong understanding of methods of assessing and validating driver competence and your ability to be a subject matter expert for site based staff will be key to your success.

What you'll be responsible for

 

  • Assist with the review, development and adjustment of course content to meet operational and compliance requirements
  • Assist site based trainers and VOC verifiers with resolving competency deficiencies in operators
  • Ensure business compliance with the approved assessment model and report on effectiveness
  • Review and audit sites to verify all equipment is being captured by the competency training and assessment methodology
     

What you'll need to be successful

 

  • Certificate IV Training and Assessment
  • Substantial experience operating relevant equipment
  • 3-5 years experience in a similar role in waste, transport, logistics or resources
  • Demonstrated knowledge of equipment operations
