Title:  Injury Prevention and Health Specialist

The Opportunity:

Newly created opportunity for an experienced Injury Prevention and Health Specialist to join our team and manage injuries, claims, return to work, and Workers' Compensation insurance requirements.  In addition you will provide health and hygiene compliance support and advice to operational management, facilitate physical and mental health excellence and contribute to company health management performance.

What you'll be responsible for:
 

  • Promptly investigate, assess, determine, and manage claims
  • Monitor and implement changes to legislation and self insurance requirements
  • Coordinate relevant audit activities
  • Maintain files and records associated with claims and return to work in a confidential manner
  • Transfer accurate and timely electronic claims data to the regulator
  • Coordinate and submit relevant prudential information to the regulator
  • Notify the Workers' Compensation regulatory authority of significant matters


What you'll need to be successful:
 

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role
  • Tertiary qualifications in related disciplines (or relevant experience)
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in a self-insured environment
  • Return to Work accreditation
