The Opportunity

In response to Veolia’s continuing growth, we have an opportunity for a HVAC Technician to join our Energy Services team based on the Sunshine Coast.  

Reporting to the Contract Manager, you will provide exceptional support as part of a team of professional service technicians, responsible for carrying out operational, maintenance and repair works on HVAC Equipment, including  Chilled Water Air Handling Units, Fan Coil Units, Ducted split systems and chillers.

What you'll be responsible for

  • Carry out planned and unplanned service, maintenance and commissioning of all types of Chilled Water Plants, Air Handling Units and Unitary Air Conditioning Systems 

  • Accurate and timely completion of required paperwork related to work performed in line with contract KPI’s

  • Fostering and maintaining professional working relationships amongst technicians and apprentices and continually demonstrate the ability to work within pairs and smaller teams 

  • Comply with all safety, company and statutory policies and procedures at all times 

  • Actively participate in all company facilitated training and service meetings as required by the company 

  • As required by the company, facilitate on-site training for technicians/apprentices as well as supervise work performed by an allocated apprentice. 

  • Quote when required, and bring new client leads of small service repairs

What you'll need to be successful

  • QBCC Mechanical Services Licence, or in process of receiving, trade qualification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, (Cert 3)

  • Experience and sound knowledge with a variety of HVAC systems on commercial, retail and  government projects

  • Current restricted Electrical License

  • Valid Driver's License

  • Construction Induction Card (white card)

  • Current ARC Licence

  • Sound computer skills

  • Experience in A/C maintenance and Installations of all types  

  • Good time management and customer service skills

  • Positive and proactive approach to safety
