The Opportunity


Veolia ANZ is currently seeking a State Business Development Manager to join our Waste team in Keysborough. The VIC State Business Development Manager - Waste is a pivotal role that will contribute to the evolution and success of the VIC Waste Sales team, developing and implementing strategies to ensure cost effective and profitable operations that are safe, legally and environmentally ethically responsible. 

You’ll need:

  • Experience managing & advising client accounts 
  • Proven track record within a business development position, managing sales and achieving or exceeding sales targets 
  • You have demonstrated success in achieving strong prospect pipelines including high conversion rates from prospect to customer
  • You’re a strategic thinker, with strong entrepreneurial skills in identifying and seizing opportunities
  • You have the ability to influence, establish and maintain authentic and genuine relationships
  • Previous experience working on tenders 
  • Diploma/Advanced Diploma in business related qualification (desirable)
  • Excellent communicator and leader who has a high level of emotional intelligence to intuitively understand customers needs, both existing and potential
  • High level of negotiation and communication skills 
  • SAP and Salesforce experience (desirable)
  • Ability to travel within the State and interstate as required
  • Hold a valid driver licence
