Title:  Site Supervisor

The Opportunity

Veolia needs an Operations Supervisor who is looking for their next career step in a great company supervising staff that services our contract with the City of the Gold Coast (CoGC). You will be responsible for the safe, compliant, customer centric and efficient undertaking of operational activities at our Resource Recovery facilities in Welshpool (3966). You will manage teams to undertake a range of operations, as well as overseeing the operation and servicing of plant and equipment. You will develop and maintain positive working relationships with all site personnel, contractors, other Veolia / CoGC personnel and external customersYour understanding of managing efficient and safe teams and your ability to organise and schedule transfers and transportation will be key in this role.

What you'll be responsible for

• Manage a culture of safety for all staff and subcontractors
• Reporting on and monitoring of all activity to track increase productivity 
• Liaise with the Site Manager on any staff or operational issues
• Manage subcontractors on site
   

What you'll need to be successful

• Proven experience as Supervisor (or Leading Hand wanting to step up) of landfills or in a similar hazardous / industrial work environment.
• Proven leadership skills – with experience supervising operational staff to achieve targets and outcomes
• Demonstrated ability to supervise in accordance with safety and environmental standards, customer expectations and performance targets.
