The Opportunity:

Join Veolia's Future Forward Program and kickstart your career as a Heavy Plant Operator! This exciting opportunity is designed for First Nations people, offering a unique blend of on-the-job training, formal qualification, and personal development. 

As a Trainee, you'll pursue a Certificate III Civil Construction Plant Operations (fee-free) through TAFE, while gaining full-time, hands-on experience. You will receive comprehensive training, guidance, and ongoing support to ensure your success in this role and beyond. 

Please note - you must be available to attend the 5 week pre employment block starting from the 11th of November 2024. The 12 month Traineeship will commence in February 2025.

What you’ll need to be successful: 

  • Identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person
  • Manual driving licence desired but not required
  • Full, unrestricted Australian working rights
  • Willingness to learn and complete tertiary qualification in Civil Construction Plant Operations
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work in a team
  • The ability to show initiative
  • Safety minded
