Title:  Mechanical Fitter

The Opportunity

 

Veolia has a great opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter to carry out maintenance procedures for the Spring Farm Resource Recovery Park Facility. This role will see you perform periodic monitoring, regular servicing and breakdown maintenance on all applicable items of the plant to achieve a high standard of maintenance to Veolia plant and equipment.

What you'll be responsible for

 

  • To carry out maintenance, servicing and monitoring as per Veolia policy and Spring Farm RRF maintenance procedures, including visual inspection for safety and operability.
  • Perform fault finding and diagnostic tests of plant equipment.
  • Perform breakdown and preventive maintenance.
  • Conduct or co-ordinate condition monitoring activities in order to reduce breakdown frequency, severity and duration.
  • To carry out instructions as directed by the Site Supervisor/Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Report on mechanical maintenance activities carried out during specified periods, including recommendations for improvements to the maintenance system.

What you'll need to be successful

 

  • Trade Qualified Mechanical (Cert III or above)
  • Manual Drivers Licence
  • Previous experience working in a similar environment
  • Desirable tickets include Working From Heights, Confined Space, Boom Lift, Forklift Licence. (Don't worry if you don't, for the right candidate we will assist you with obtaining these!)
