Title:  Operations Supervisor

The Opportunity

Veolia ANZ is seeking a Solid Waste Supervisor to join our team based in Spreyton 7310. In this role you will be responsible for overseeing vehicle scheduling, logistics support, facility operations, and coordinating controlled waste/quarantine collections while ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and performance standards. This is a permanent full-time opportunity based on-site.

What you'll be responsible for

  • Oversee logistics team, supervise daily operations, allocate tasks and drivers efficiently, conduct performance reviews, and troubleshoot operational issues while ensuring budget targets and deadlines are met

  • Coordinate training and inductions, ensure new drivers are properly trained and documented, facilitate monthly safety meetings, and maintain driver certifications

  • Manage quarantine and controlled waste operations including collections, disposal documentation, compliance audits, customer liaison, sampling coordination, and disposal applications 

  • Ensure adherence to Workplace Health and Safety, Quality, and Environmental requirements per company policy, report unsafe conditions

  • Prepare reports using Google Suite, monitor divisional expenditure, ensure proper purchasing processes with approved suppliers, maintain fleet coordination with maintenance schedules

What you'll need to be successful

  • TAS Drivers Licence

  • Previous relevant industry experience

  • Proven ability to work in a team environment

  • Strong time management skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication

  • Ability to work unsupervised
