Veolia ANZ is excited to offer an outstanding opportunity to join our passionate and motivated HR team, delivering professional HR advice to one of our line of business: Industrial and Energy. As Veolia’s fastest-growing line of business, your expertise will make a real impact on how this area operates and thrives.

 

Based at our Southbank office, you’ll work closely with both the General Manager and operational leaders across VIC and SA as well as our National Refractory team. This is a hands-on, operational HR role where you’ll be actively involved in supporting teams working in heavy industry environments. What you'll be responsible for

  • Building strong, trusted relationships with leaders, providing coaching and guidance on leadership effectiveness, team performance and employee engagement

  • Support the end to end process for EA negotiations in a multi-EA environment, with renegotiations upcoming in 2026

  • Use workforce data and HR systems to identify trends and drive continuous improvement

  • Support and Lead workforce planning activities, identifying current and future capability needs and building robust succession and talent pipelines

  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure 

  • Travel to the Victorian(regularly) and South Australia (as required) operational sites for on-the-ground support

  • Providing expert advice on employee relations matters, including performance management, investigations and complex people issues

  • Contribute to broader HR projects to ensure continuous improvement 

  • Ensuring consistent application of employment legislation, industrial instruments and internal policies to mitigate risk and ensure compliance

What you'll need to be successful

  • Proven experience in a generalist HR role within an industrial/blue collar environment 

  • A confident and capable HR Business Partner with a practical, hands-on approach and the ability to deliver without over complicating solutions

  • Thrives in a fast paced environment with the ability to be agile

  • Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and apply a tailored approach according to the leadership style

  • Great working knowledge of HR principles and employment legislation

  • Proven ability to interpret and apply Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements

  • A current driver's licence and willingness to travel regularly across Victorian site and travel to South Australia when required
