The Opportunity

Veolia Environmental Services is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Mobile Plant Operator to undertake plant operation tasks. This is a permanent full time role based at our Shoal Bay Landfill.

What you'll be responsible for

• Safe and effective use and maintenance of plant and machinery on all tasks;
• Compacting waste at the landfill tip face;
• Segregating and shredding waste streams to maximise diversion from landfill and reduce consumption of available airspace;
• Operating water and hook lift trucks;
• Constructing and maintaining internal roads and stormwater drains;
• Providing exceptional customer service to all stakeholders;
• Ensuring all tasks are carried out in a safe and environmentally compliant manner.

What you'll need to be successful

Proven experience operating plant and equipment such as:

• Dozer
• Compactor
• Excavator
• Articulated Dump Truck
• Front End Loader
• A Heavy Rigid Licence is desirable
• A positive and “can do” attitude
