The Opportunity

Veolia has a newly created opportunity for an experienced Heavy Vehicle Plant Mechanic to work with our Seven Hills based team.

What's on offer

  • A service vehicle with fuel card and etag.
  • Utilise your mechanical skills on a variety of heavy vehicle and plant machinery
  • Monday-Friday, 10AM-6PM roster.

What you'll be responsible for

  • Undertake preventative and breakdown maintenance on Veolia’s fleet of trucks and mobile plant equipment.
  • Responding to onsite breakdowns, identifying faults and complete repairs.
  • Diagnosing faults and performing operational maintenance on trucks and mobile plant equipment.
  • Daily pre and post start checks
  • Maintain stock and spare parts records, advising on discrepancies.
  • Coordinating works between Operations, Fleet Administration and external service providers.
  • Drive Veolia’s ‘Always Safe’ Culture.

What you'll need to be successful

  • Trade qualification in Heavy Vehicle and/or Plant Mechanic.
  • Demonstrated experience in the heavy vehicle repair industry.
  • HR truck licence
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Able to undergo a pre-employment medical and national police check.
