The Opportunity
A great opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Manager to join our Environmental Services team based in Dandenong South. You will establish relationships with potential and existing clients and adopt a consultative selling approach to position Veolia as a strategic partner in environmental sustainability and resource recovery.

What you'll be responsible for

Delivering profitable revenue & volume growth, improving the market position for Veolia

Identify new market opportunities, new market products or services.

Lead and execute major account re-sign activity where necessary or requested.

Liaise with the operations teams to ensure profitability and efficiency on major accounts.

Work with the legal team, negotiate contracts with clients to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.

Develop and maintain a comprehensive sales pipeline (in Salesforce) covering a range of industry verticals, and develop a sales strategy for each vertical.
What you'll need to be successful

Tertiary qualifications in marketing, MBA or similar is advantageous

2-5 years of experience in a major accounts or business development role (in the waste & recycling or similar services industry is desirable)

Have strong reasoning abilities, including defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts and drawing valid conclusions

Possess solid commercial acumen and experience in negotiating service contracts

Have excellent organisational and problem solving skills and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, self-directed environment
